Sketchbook
I grew up at Libertyland, the Memphis amusement park my dad ran in the nineties. Being raised inside architecture built entirely for play shaped my instinct to make art you experience rather than just observe.
I studied Fine Art at Vanderbilt, where my senior thesis—a projection-rigged tree swing—earned the Hamblet Award, the school’s top honor for a graduating artist, and launched the first of two solo shows. I then spent years in Los Angeles designing large-scale interactive VR environments, and I’m now bringing those world-building instincts back to a physical studio practice.
I’m less interested in pristine objects on gallery walls, and more in what happens when we narrow our focus and tune out the noise to be present and experience a moment in our bodies.
